Crisis Intervention and MotoShot
De-escalation often starts with an officer walking into the room. He or she need not utter a word and the situation either escalates or people calm down. In any case, how the officer talks, uses eye contact, hold his/her hands or even a simple smile can make the difference between success or failure when it comes to emotionally charged situations.
MotoShot can confront officers with a threat and either escalate the force option or reduce the threat with verbalization. Perhaps you have heard in the news of officers shooting subjects in the back. To the public, this appears to be an unreasonable use of force when in reality people shoot at officers as they are running away.
MotoShot can approach the officer with a weapon or more importantly MotoShot can retreat with a weapon displayed and with a well-trained instructor, officers can be given a real-life scenario that can save their lives or that of innocent bystanders.
MotoShot is not just a mere training aid it is an extraordinary and affordable risk assessment tool that will save lives.
